LOCAL CHEFS TO TEACH FARM-TO-TABLE COOKING

AT FAIRCHILD GARDEN’S FOOD & GARDEN FESTIVAL

 

 

 

Coral Gables, FL, April 5, 2013 – Who says eating well has to be boring? Come to the Food & Garden Festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. to learn how to make delicious meals that the whole family will love. Local chefs will teach you how to make everything from seared scallops to vegan cashew cheese. Cooking isn’t just for the grownups – special demonstrations by the Short Chef will teach kids how to make pasta with vegetables. Preparing meals will never be boring again.

 

This year, we’ve added an interactive component to the chef demos. Vote each day for the chef you think best uses summer vegetables in their dishes. Winners will be posted on Monday, April 22 on the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden Facebook page.
